Looks neat. I like the idea of a touch screen, but I also like being able to see all of the options on the keypad. Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm wondering which aspects are anniversary edition. I wouldn't think they would have the entire machine only available for a limited time, but one never knows. I keep my Expression on another table right next to my craft table, the Epression 2 would require the same reorganization of my craft space that the Imagine would require, unless I operated it entirely from my Gypsy. It does look a lot more portable than the Imagine. Since I don't have an Imagine, the ability to cut Imagine carts is of limited appeal to me. If I did have an Imagine, I'd probably be more likely to replace my Expression since it would give me the oppportunity to cut 12 x 24 and to cut without having the printer heads use ink unneccessarily. I would love to know if it is better for cutting circles and scallops than the Expression.

Maureen Reiss said...

I think its cool, but I don't get why you would want to use the Imagine carts if it doesn't print. Most of their carts need the printing. Thanks for the chance to win

I do like some of the new features. Placing things where you want them to cut on the mat, the light, saving settings. It does sound awesome. But I just don't have the money to put out on another machine that does essential the same thing as my regular expression. Thanks for a chance to win! me(at)glorajean(dot)com

This looks interesting. I will have to get some more info, but definitely cool!

I dont really think a new E is necessary. It's getting impossible to keep up with the latest from PC. HOWEVER, the map overview and material setting features seem really great.

Mom of 2 Monsters said...

It looks like a great machine. Uses both E and I carts is definitely a plus for those who don't wan tot buy an I for printing purposes. I may get this since I didn't get the I. Something to ponder over.

This machine looks so cool. Since there were no really good close-ups of the touch screen on the video, I am wondering just how much a person is really going to be seeing.
With no overlays, you are definitely going to need a handbook to get creative with the other features.
The machine looks like it would be alot of fun to play around with.
Thanks for the chance to win!!

Tammy said...

I am loving the new features on this machine. I was so excited that I did not buy a new Expression to replace my older one because hearing of this one coming out. Thank you for the chance of winning a new cartridge.

I love the touch screen. It would be fantastic to win one. :)

Tami B. said...

It has some nice features but not enough to justify going out & buying one since I already have an E, and besides, if there is one thing I've learned it's never to go out & buy whatever PC comes out with immediately after release. Something new & improved will always follow.

Tema said...

It looks amazing. Just as I'm getting comfortable with my expressions & learning how to use my Gyypsy there's something else.Is it really limited edition? Why? For now I'm happy with what I have. I would be thrilled to win the new cartrdge.

paperscissorsink said...

Looks very nice, I'm a little concerned about a touch screen being too small to see and will it work with ds? I've had my expression since they first came out and its starting to sound sad so I hope this will be a good replacement. Thank you! Shirley paperscissorsink@comcast.net

Jeanette T. said...

I too like many others did not get the Imagine right away because I don't like the idea of having to buy printer ink. Now the new Expression on the other hand seems great. I have the baby bug and the
Expression and I an eagerly awaiting April 26th to order my new Expression. I like the new features and the fact that you can use the Imagine carts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping to win the cart.

The machine looks awesome! I like the idea of the touch screen and especially like the light on the cutting area! Unfortunately, or fortunately, my husband just bought me a new Expression so I'll have to hold off on this one.

Looks like a great machine, I'm just not sure I would want to spend all the money that this one is going to be or save that money and get the imagine, which adds that extra printing capability...very confusing right now. Too many machines.

Oh this sounds awesome. I just watched the video and I am drooling!!! I didn't buy the Imagine because of the ink. The Expression 2 however looks like they combined all of the goodies from the Expression and the Imagine. I love that you can use the Imagine Cartridges with it. I think my favorite feature is the touch screen where you can see what is on your mat. The only thing is that I did not hear them mention the design studio being capatible. do you know if it is?

I am very excited about this machine! I just got the Imagine as an early bday gift last week and am already obsessed! :) After playing with it for a week, I love the idea of the expression having the same touch screen system, it's so nice and easy to use and you can see the images very easily. I also like the idea that it will have Wifi, so you don't have to constantly have access to plug into your computer to use with the new Craftroom software or to do updates. Love it!

I love the sleek design and the ability to customize it with different colors, but as others have stated, why would we use the imagine cartridges if it does not print. WOW..the machine has some really nice features, the light, the touch screen, sleek lines, and I love that you can use all the carts. w/ it also. But...I am happy w/ my Expression and just cannot justify buying another upgrade so soon. When is PC going to utilize those two other buttons on our EXP that we have now? They are an amazing company...and sure I wouldn't mind it if someone surprised me w/ the machine but...this one will have to wait, hopefully it will be available even after they say its limited...So many fun toys that's for sure.

I really like the changes they made for the Expression 2. The price, I heard, is about $400 and whereas that is a little high, I am sure some bargains and discounts can be found online. I like the touch screen as well as not having to use overlays. I passed on the Imagine because of the price and cost of the ink, but think the Expression 2 is a good middle of the road machine. Thanks for the giveaway and chance to win the cartridge.

I have mixed feelings. My Expression is about to go to the bone yard, so I would have to look closely at the prices. They could achieve almost the same thing by making an adapter for the Gypsy that would accept and load up the Imagine carts. :) Thanks for asking Jody! And thanks for the fun!

WoW! An expression 2 huh? Well it looks pretty techy! Loving that it has touchscreen capabilities! And the machine itself is so tech sleek. Over all between a 1-10 I'd give it a 10. I have the expression now. It's a couple years old but even so staying away from this new one I know already I'm going to find difficult.

Thanks for a very generous chance at winning this cart. I definitely need some newer ones. The last cart I bought was the cards cart the one with the owl card so ya, it's been a while.

Thanks much,

After reading the many comments, I am stunned. I feel that Provo Craft has improved our scrapbooking world with the electronic die cutting that would have been kept in the dark ages if not for them coming out with the Cricut 5 years ago. This new E is slicker, smarter, and less fumbling for overlays, and such. Improved to take both types of carts without ink. I like it and want one. I am happy to see them improving on their own great design. Keep up the great work Provo Craft! jordanbev5 @ yahoo.com

Wow, PC just keeps getting better. Unfortunately can't justify the new E2 machine when my E is only 2 1/2 years old & LOVE my Gypsy :) Thanks for all the hard work on our (crafters) behalf & thanks for keeping me up to date onthe latest & greatest PC technology.

Can't imagine (no pun intended) why I would buy the new E2 with the big cash outlay for the Imagine I just finished paying for. The cart giveaway though does interest me! Great giveaway.

Nice machine, but my E is still fairly new, I don't think I will be investing in this machine. Thank you for the chance to win the cart.

Wow! What an incredible machine! I would love the new Expression 2! Thank you for the chance to win.

My budget won't allow another machine. I will still use my Expression. PC just keeps coming up with new ideas. I am still waiting for a larger Cuttlebug with a bigger platform. Maybe someday.

Wowsers! I had noooo idea that it was a combo Imagine and Expression. How cool is that, eh? :-)

Thanks for the video and a chance to win that awesome blog candy.

I love my Cricut machines, but they are both in good working order and I just can't justify the expense, besides my table will not hold another machine. I would love the cartridge. Thanks

Sherri said...

I think it looks totally awesome. I love the WiFi feature. The Imagine didn't impress me at all, but some of the carts are really cute, so that's way awesome that the E2 can use them. I think the color touch screen is pretty cool, but wondering if it will be big enough to really see what's going on. I like not having to use the overlays, but hope they still come with a booklet. Even with my G I like to look at the book to make sure I'm not missing something. I don't really "get" the light, cuz it's not like you really need to see what/where it's cutting anyway, but it will probably look cool. All in all, I think it looks great and would love to own one someday.
Thanks for the chance to win the new cartridge.

This thing looks awesome! I love the little light on it

It looks a great machine but having only just got my expression I couldn't possibly justify it. If I had the money though I would probably plump for the imagine as I feel I had the best of both worlds.
Thanks forthe chance of winning this fab cartridge

Don't think that I will be purchasing it. My Expression does everything I need. I am more excited about the online Craft Room. That sounds like a real upgrade from DS.

I can't keep up with them. I like the fact that it utalizes everything else that they have.

What a beautifully designed machine. I love the light. I just wish PC would utilize our two other buttons on our E that so many of us have now own, instead of upgrading another machine. For now I'm very happy w/ my E and I'm still learning about it everyday. Thanks for the chance to receive the new cartridge. I appreciate it. horseflystitches@qdotcom

It sounds interesting... but what about needing a backup overlay if something happens to the LCD screen? I like the touch pad but can see some problems with it. It is a sweet looking machine though!

Looks like a great machine but I have the Imagine already so can not justify buying this machine. When my expression wears out I will for sure replace it with this new machine. Thanks for a chance to win the new cart.

Looks like another winner for Cricut. Can't wait to see it in person. I think this one will be so much better than the imagine, which I have and am not impressed with the quality of color it prints.

I don't own any of the Cricuts so don't need to go in the draw for the catridge thanks.

However would just like to comment. I have watched loads of demos on C&C here in the UK and was impressed with Imagine printing as well as cutting. Liked the overlays and am not sure about a touch screen because some folk with dexterity problems like my son would find that a problem for them.

I can't really afford a Cricut, already have a Wishblade which is a big learning curve and I know there is always going to be something new on the market and one cannot keep upgrading unless money is no object.

lucandi said...

Love the design sleek and smaller footprint, and the fact you can use CI carts. Now I don't like things that say limited because this says to me there are some flaws somewhere... and what about repairs... I am not so crazy about the touch screen.. if it goes bad you got nothing..... so i like my overlays... would love that cartridge that your got as the giveaway....thanks

It looks amazing. However, in 5 years, I have seen an "new version" Cricut almost every year, each more expensive.

I am disappointed that Provocraft does no support older version of the products. I think they have gotten really expensive, and greedy.

Amy K said...

I really like the new features and the ability to customize; however, I don't think that I can justify replacing my Expression for just those things, especially since my Baby Bug has been sitting on a shelf since I got my Expression.
Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind once I start reading reviews. Plus, why is it only available for a limited time?
Thanks for the chance to win the cartridge.

I think it is going to be a big hit, wish I could afford to get one. I love how it has a light on it and that you don't need the layover, love the digital on it. Also love that you can weld or anything with it. I have the original cricut so all these would be awesome!

I love the fact that the Expression 2 is wireless and with the new Craftroom software, that will be so sweet! I also like the sleeker design.
Since I have a CE and Imagine, I do not see myself needing it until me CE needs to be replaced.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I really like the looks and styling of the new machine. Love that it uses all cartridges. I have the Imagine and if the cutting is much improved with the newest machine, so I hope that this one had that same great cutting. Love the Imagine, but still use the expression all the time, so I am sure there will be one in my craft room immediately and fortunately, my Mom loves the hand me downs. Hee! Hee! Thanks for a chance to win the new cartridge! I can't wait to get and play with this one!!! http://cricutcouple.blogspot.com - cricutcouple at gmail dot com.

The new machine looks fantastic. I love the fact that you can personalize it with color choices. That light would be a great addition for me because I'm visually impaired. Thanks for the video that will help everyone make up their mind about getting it.

This machine looks great. I like it much better than the Imagine. While the printing is cool on the Imagine, I feel it takes away from the creative process and the truly handcrafted look and feel. The new Expression 2 will allow the best of both machines without the cost of ink (I can print digis from the Internet if I want). Thanks for the chance to win.

Looks good, but as others have said I wonder if the view thru the screen would be big enough. I cut almost everything with DS anyway so would not run out & replace my E. Thanks for a chance to win a cart.

My honest opinion is that PC although it be a great company is overwhelming everyone with too many machines. There are some great features on the Expression 2 but I dont think it's enough to justify me buying a another machine. I just hope that in the end those of us with the baby bug and original Expression don't get forgotten.

I am definitely considering the E2.
I do think the screen could be bigger. I would think you still need the book available when working on a project. I will be watching HSN on 4/26 to help with my decision. Thanks for the opportunity to win Formal Occasion; it's on my wish list.

The E2 looks pretty cool. The only thing is they said at the Gala that it will only be available at HSN "for a WHILE" possibly forever....

At first I wasn't happy with the touch screen instead of overlays because I think manual problems are easier to fix than electronic problems. BUT I love the fact the touch screen has a preview feature. I think the light will be helpful. Hopefully, the limited edition part of this is only the colors and that they will continue to produce this machine for when my Expression needs replacing.

It looks nice but I am guessing it will be pricey!! I don't see the advantage to using the imagine cartridges since it doesn't print. I love my plain old expression and will not be buying this new one. Just nothing I need.

I held off buying the Imagine and now I'm wondering if I should buy the E2 or the I. They both have perks. I know I will own the E2 it's just a matter of when. I love the wi-fi capabilities and being able to use the I carts.
Would love to win Formal Affair!! thanks

I'm very excited about the new E2. I wasn't interested owning an Imagine but i love some of the I-carts. I like the idea of not using the overlay keypad too.
