Contest- Blue Expression Giveaway

First of all we want to give a HUGE "THANK YOU" shoutout to all our fabulous Guest Designers! Haven't they been amazing?

Make sure to post a comment on this post if you have enjoyed all their work and for a chance to win an in stock cartridge of your choice from us at Hallmark Scrapbook

OK so on with the contest/giveaway.

I need some inspiration...

We moved into a new home nearly 6 months ago. I now have room for a craft room. Up until yesterday all my Craft stuff was in boxes on the floor from the move. All my Storage/Organizational containers are mis matched and have been collected over a few years. I need a workspace/desk and ideas. As you can see...

I love my Blue Expression so I just may use the blue color for the color on the walls but that's about as far as i have gone with the planning. I'd love some ideas.

TO ENTER TO WIN THE BLUE EXPRESSION: Post pictures of your craft room and/or organization systems on our Photo gallery HERE (click on "HERE" to go to the photo gallery to post your pictures). I know many of you have also made videos of your craft rooms so in addition to your picture you can give us a link to your video if you'd like.  Let us all know where you got the items (if you can remember and the cost too). Winner will be picked at random from the submissions in our Photo Gallery and announced Sunday May 23rd on this blog.

The Prize .....

is a Blue Cricut Expression or a $199 gift certificate if you already have the blue machine) for our online store. The machine is our last one and we wanted to save it for this giveaway. (If you're the winner and live outside the United States in a country we normally ship to, please be aware that we cannot ship it outside the United States so your prize would be the Gift Certificate).

Don't forget to post a comment on THIS post for a chance to win a cartridge of your choice. Please make sure to leave a way for me to contact you. (email works best)

I would love to have a dream scrapping room like some many that I see ladies share on their blogs, but right now that is just a dream! I love my Crop N Style paper towers for may paper which make it super easy to lower them, zip them up and head off to a weekend crop! That's the best organizing idea that I have for you!

Thank you so much for the chance to win that beautiful blue Cricut and good luck with your organizing and decorating!

I don't have a pretty room, just an unfinished corner of the basement (insert sad face). I do however have a fantastic scrap hutch that the hubs got at Hobby Lobby for $1,000. I am able to keep all the items I use all the time like my Cricut and cartridges, tools, cardstock and ribbon, and adhesives. The rest of the supplies go in rolling drawers or on shelves just around the corner. It currently looks as if a tornado went through my little space and I have a few more challenges to complete but after i tidy up a bit I will post some pictures.

Oh would I ever love the blue expression. One of my friends has just started using the cricut that I have and now wants her own. This owuld be a great B-day gift for her. You are so lucky to have all space to craft in. I think that the Expedit shelves from IKEA in white with blue walls would look great. They hold a lot and look great.

I would LOVE the blue expression! I have just finished my craft room (are we ever really finished?) and my suggestion is shelves, shelves, shelves! Organize by putting items only in see-thru containers (mine are from thrift stores), by category. Papers here, soft embellishments there, etc. Love your "blank canvas" of a craft room! Best wishes with pulling it all together.

Ann said...

I have everything organized but do not have a "CRAFT ROOM." Wish I did but when I use stuff I have to put it all back. I have several containers such as stamps, punches which I don't use all the time, in the trunk of my MUSTANG! BUT IT'S ORGANIZED! LOL

I'm an empty-nester with 30+ years of photos to scrap so I've taken over my youngest's old room as my scrap room (he doesn't need it, he lives 2 hours away AND is getting married). I put open shelves on the 2 long walls and bought Michael's white organizing cube-system to hold paper and other supplies. Half the fun of scrapping is organizing! The blue cricut would have pride of place!

I wish I was as lucky as you to have my own craft room. Your space is big enough to have a couple of work tables, for different crafts or for dividing up duties (like a computer work station, a messy area, and then your actual paper crafts area, for example). I don't know how much money you have but you could easily do this in stages. Have fun decorating! :)

As for the question, I love your guest designers and projects. I haven't made full use of my Expression since I bought it from y'all and your blog inspires me. Thanks for the chance to win!

Well if you want to go with hte color blue, might I suggest some white "kitchen" cabinets that you can purchase at your local harware store (The cabinets hold a lot), and you can also purchase a countertop (I have blue formica) They usually have a few on hand that just need to be cut, unless you want to spend the extra $$ and get Corian, or even granite. I have 7 feet of cabinets with an 8 ft countertop on one section of my room. I have basic white cabinets (unfortunately not all the same size, which is my dream). I also have blue walls in my room :o) That expression sure would look nice in there!

I have storage cubes with drawers from Target that I stacked 3 high, and have stamping pads, and supplies in. I have my lightbox on there.

Debby said...

Oh I would love the Blue Expression, I would have my Mom use that to help her from her strokes. She loves to do things like that but since the strokes it is harder for her on the small motor skills.
Thanks for the chance to win. My craft room right now has all my sons stuff in it as his sister is taking over his room, coming home from college and we had to have a place to put the stuff. I can't even get to most my things.

I have really enjoyed the guest designers and have started following several of their own blogs. I'm new to the cricut and have not really started a collection of cartridges yet so this helps me decide which ones are "must haves".

As for your craft room, I cannot send pictures as I don't have one yet. It is on the renovation list and is to be built in the basement. My major concern will be lighting and keeping the room feeling airy and not dungeon-like. I like your idea of blue and would use the blue on the wall with white furniture/cupboards. Clear labelled containers are definitely a must have also to keep things dust free and visible. I think having a long working table/counter or counters and a kidney shaped table would be fantastic. Enjoy designing your space. I know I'm excited about being able to do mine!

My biggest tip for organizing is run, don't walk, to the IKEA store. That place is a mecca of organization products. I put together 2 "Best" wall units. The shelves are 15" deep versus some that are only 12" deep. I have some 2-3" high shelves and put short wide boxes on them and then I am able to pull the box out like a drawer. Ikea also has some utensil holding rods that look like towel bars. They work great for storing punches. Have fun with your new room!

I'm in the process of redoing my scraproom. I'm going to be using the cubes from Mike's and AC's for organizing and storage. I already have 4 of them put together just to try out and I love them. I have 4 more ready to be put together whenever my room gets painted. I've been wrestling with blue or yellow. HMMMM now if I win that blue machine the color choice wouldn't be hard to do. LOL

Muttshouse said...

How lucky you are to have a crafting room now! I still have to scrap outside the house due to space and time constraints (the kids! lol) so I'm a gypsy scrapper. I still use the Jetmax cubes available at Michael's usually for 50% (~$12-15/cube). They have so many different versions with drawers and shelves that you'll be limitless in configuration. You can also add a granite or other hard surface top to them from Home Depot so you can have a surface that you can paint, heat emboss, and glitter on without worrying about the finish. :) I love the versions of the drawers with a drawer and open shelf; that way you can put incomplete projects on the open shelves to dry or just wait for you to have time; the drawers are awesome for all those bic markers, paint bottles, and other misc supplies (large stamp pads, cleaner pads, etc.) I have a 4 drawer cube that is awesome for all of my bottles of glues, inks, bling, flowers, brads, etc.

For the wall color - I'd choose something fresh and bright to inspire and lift your spirits, but to keep a neutral spot to showcase your crafts and/or inspirational projects/gifts.

That's a wonderful giveaway! I wish my scrap room was in order, but it's called a dining room in everyone else's world. I really could use a studio! Perhaps if I don't buy any more art/scrap supplies I could actually build a room....yep that'll happen! The only help I can offer is to make you a painting and send it your way (since that's what I do for a living) or come paint a mural for you :) Thanks for keeping us all inspired!

What a wonderful prize. My craft room is not organized yet but it is getting there. My 12x12 paper is in a rolling cart that I got from M's with 6 Iris containers. I have divided the paper into lines and stored it that way with the exception for the two containers. One is for Halloween paper and the other is for Christmas paper. I store the
co-ordinating cardstock with the paper.

Thanks for the chance to win.

Thanks to all of your designers, it is just amazing how when you see some of there designs on cards and layouts how your creative mind just starts flowing. At this time I do all my craft at the dining room table. House is under construction due to house fire, once completed have a room that I will be making into my craft room and I could use all the ideals I could get. Thanks

I just redid my studio, it's also a guest bedroom, so we just ordered a Wilding Wall Bed and cabinets, book cases. I have sewing in the studio as well so just received my Koala sewing furniture.

I lined my closet with Elfa Shelving, a bit pricey, but they have a big sale starting in Aug. at the Container Store. I know it's hard to wait, but the savings are worth it. Or get a few things now and add on.

The Blue Expression would be a nice addition to the studio.

It's extremely generous of you offer it as a "give away."

Don't have pix, will get some when the room is complete.

Hugs
LA

I can just see your room with beautiful blue walls and white vinyl swirls all over them! Hmm may just have to do that to my room when we move to our next house - it sounds so pretty! Thanks for the chance to win (the cartridge and the blue machine) I am off to post pictures of my room for you to see. My hubby made all my storage units and desk - at a cost of less then $200 for the entire room (including the paint on the walls)!
